Being healthy is more than just NOT being sick. Good health is life lived at your full potential, physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.
The Bible calls this the “abundant life” and it is exactly what God wants for us. (John 10:10)
While we cannot control everything that causes disease or illness, we can make choices that reduce our risks. An important part of Health Ministries is to promote the health and well-being of the whole person using a framework known as the NEWSTART programme that centres around the eight principles of health:

Exercise Exercising More
Water Drinking Plenty of Water
Sunshine Stepping into the Sunshine
Temperance Being Balanced and Moderate
Air Breathing Deeper
Rest Getting Enough Rest
Trust Trusting in God
The Health Ministry team will be hosting health programmes throughout 2022 and beyond centred around these eight principles.
We also intend to feature workshops in mental health first aid, management of diabetes and hypertension with practical demonstrations and workshops. These workshops are very practical based, ideal for busy individuals as well as families which include simple healthy meal preparation and nutrition for the purpose of enhancing health and wellbeing to help every person reach their full potential.
Additionally, we invite you to take part in the Book Reading Group which meets every Friday on zoom from 7 – 8 pm. Here we will read and study the book “Ministry of Healing” by Ellen G. White. Anyone is welcome to join! Please text Esther for the link to the group at (+44) 07947243118.
